{"job": {"created_at":"2009-01-16T22:15:25-08:00","title":"Python Tools Developer","guid":"http://www.opensourcexperts.com/Jobs/viewjob.html?id=433","country":null,"code":null,"updated_at":"2009-01-16T22:15:25-08:00","id":546,"admin1":null,"original_url":"http://www.opensourcexperts.com/Jobs/viewjob.html?id=433","content":"STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF PYTHON /JAVA / HTML AND RELATED WEB TECHNOLOGIES IN A LINUX ENVIRONMENT.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\n\n- Develop software in a number of various technologies including Python, (Java a plus), HTML in a Unix/Linux environment\n- Work with non-technical users to understand tool requirements and to be able to quickly convert those requirements into working software components.\n- Work with other software developers to develop more complex software products using the appropriate technologies\n- Develop test harnesses to be able to test the developed software effectively\n- Where appropriate work with QA functions to determine test plans and test cases that are require to fully test the software before release\n- Research existing tools and technologies that can be used to help answer requirements\n\nExperience\n\n- Development of Python applications from scratch from high level requirements documents\n- Development of Unix scripts required to support execution of applications etc.\n- Development of Web based front ends of tools using HTML, JSP, PHP etc..\n- Development of applications that use SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL etc..)\n- Working with non-technical users to develop and document requirements\n\nSkills\n- STRONG PYTHON (JAVA A PLUS) DEVELOPMENT SKILLS\n- Working understanding of Web technologies especially HTML\n- Ability to work independently on assignments\n- Knowledge of Office and Visio etc..\n- Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical users so that effective software products can be developed.\n- Ability to work on multiple tasks in a team environment.\n- Excellent communication skills","company_id":null,"admin2":null,"published_at":"2007-05-25T00:00:00-07:00","link":"http://www.opensourcexperts.com/Jobs/viewjob.html?id=433","admin3":null,"location_name":null,"geom":null,"feed_url_id":18,"active":true}}
